The Weather Horse reports birds abundant with turkeys taking a turn around the block, crows silently swooping down from the trees, chickens scratching for bugs and eating romaine in the pen, heavy cloud cover spitting drops in front of cooler air coming, tucking in the tomatoes tonight – just in case.
Maybe I will cover my new emerging fall lettuce also with a cover cloth. I use old nylon curtains, light and yet let sun and rain through.
