Cowbirds Close By…

The Weather Horse, Monday, 10 June 2013, reports cowbirds close by with a fluid song – a third chirping a warning from the oak, Rev is away, hazy sun through the overcast still morning, green beans and summer squash breaking soil in the garden (between hoofprints), asparagus still producing, peonies bursting, awaiting a watering later, welcome to the new week!

The Weather Horse reports dazzling rhododendrons in a light rain that is disappearing in brightening skies, very gentle breezes wafting across well soaked gardens, seeds spouting reaching for breaks in the clouds towards the coming sun, great eating on the far side of the barn, will need to go stealth with bugs also on their way, Happy Saturday!

The Weather Horse edging the front gardens, with Rev, reports its Friday (!) with a light rain, heavy cloud cover, whispery winds removing the shavings from mane and tail, water buckets filled overnight, cool temps today with heavier rain expected to soak the growing greenery and wash away the bugs and pollen, have a great weekend!

The Weather Horse reports annoyance by a certain black dog, otherwise a quiet, peaceful morning with a cool feel to the buggy air, high,hazy clouds, weak sunshine, blue sky to the West on its way, daisies in the pasture accompanying the buttercups and moist grass, the calm before the storm tomorrow, enjoy this gift of a day!

The Weather Horse, 5 June 2013, reports a cool start full of mosquitoes, some high clouds passing on upper winds, feet trimmed and neat – thanks to Leon, asparagus providing, lettuce ready for lunch, new seeds waiting to sprout, other flora flourishing while heavy dew coats the morning.

The Weather Horse mowing the front lawn amidst buttercups, the poppies and irises spectacular in the gardens, brisk cool, bugless breeze blowing the tail in more moderate temps, blue skies, sedate crowing, the farrier (who had his mare bred to create Lancer) coming for a trim later this morning – Rev won’t believe how good the treats will be!

The Weather Horse, 3 June 2013, reports a light rain, thick with marauding mosquitos, every local bird competing in song to the beat of the dripping gutter, rhododendrons in superb full pinkish purple bloom, the vegetable garden planted just in time for watering, peaceful, quiet with summerlike temps – cooler than the weekend – no sunburn expected today, welcome to the new week!
