Long Days Linger

The Weather Horse, Friday 12 July 2013, enjoying a refreshing change of air with cooler temps, playful winds, pestering deer flies, sun peering causing indistinct shadows, summer’s height making life sweet, celebration upcoming and ongoing in our corner of the town, bird freed from the greenhouse trap overnight, long days lingering for a little longer!

Dog Wars

The Weather Horse eats peacefully among the blur of dogs play fighting whirring by, cloudy again with rain threatening, heavy moisture in the air with a cool start expecting to heat up under any sun peaking out, distant dogs barking and rooster crowing muffled by the thick air, yucca plants tall with its white spiky flowers grand in the garden contrasted with deep orange and yellow lilly blossoms, morning glories climbing to bring new openings for July.

Fog in a Low Cloud

The Weather Horse reports fog in a low cloud, rain overnight with  more possible, cheery chirping over lots of worms, soggy, saturated slugs slithering and sliming the lillie’s blossoms, dog barking off in the distance, camp folks walking up from the lake, thriving clover and the daisies still flowering where they haven’t been mowed, dark misty start to Wednesday, 10 July 2013.

The Living is Good!

The Weather Horse, Tuesday, 9 July 2013, reports rolling off the heat for some cloudier, cooler temperatures, possible rain in still, foggy air, freshly mowed field displacing rodents and grasshoppers, sweet symphony by the local feathered friends, green and growing tomatoes thriving from the warmer days, dill going to seed, the living is good!

The Weather Horse just waking up reports heavy overcast skies to start, brightening with the threat of storms lingering in moisture laden air, Little John off on a neighborhood romp after a daring escape, Rev hanging around for stick play, Sterling nowhere to be found in such fine cat weather, unsettled to begin, welcome to the new week!

The Weather Horse spent the morning in greener pastures, where lush grasses grow in the neighbor’s playground, now home under serious summer heat, winds moving, clouds building for a possible welcome drenching later on, glorious gardens with a new crop of lettuce awaiting transplanting, Happy Saturday!

Time to Make Hay!

The Weather Horse reports good eating by the Catalpa tree with Rev, Friday 5 July 2013 under very sunny skies, perky breezes moving the lushly leaf laden trees, grasses and weeds abundant, tomatoes swelling in their favored high summer heat, squash bugs rampant in the mutant vine, moose flies biting forcing fleeing to the barn, season settling in with hot humid conditions, time to make hay!

The Weather Horse sleeping in this morning, company for coffee, rain soaked air, ground, everything, skies brightening, sun trying to come out to dry up all the rain, Johnnie escaped and is off on a neighborhood run, the cat doesn’t care to go out, Rev wants to snuggle, wind wandering through the treetops releasing drops, shaking out the moisture, stubborn pattern of unstable and humid conditions continues for Tuesday, 2 July 2013.
