Sparkling

light2

Full of sparkling diamonds the fresh inch cleaning and brightening, deep purple and blue where the rays are crossing depressions, horse butt reporting chilly wind direction as NW, sky contrasting indigo with those setting reds remaining dormant at the ends of branches, cold stunning light breaking the morning for the beginning of the new week.

Sweet Morning

sweet

Sweet morning with a cold start, winter prevailing with frozen beauty, blue skies touched with white high clouds, snow below hoof remaining fluffy, paths appearing with tracks of all sizes as normally unseen feet make their way through, no wind to disturb the blue jays cackling and hunger hunting.

A Fresh Bucket

bucket share
All water solid overnight and the ice pile flourishing, sharing a fresh bucket, casting crisp shadows on brilliant white snow, blue shades reflecting from clear skies, a few long hairs shedding in extending light, hinting buds ending branches with a suggestion of new color bringing hope of spring and honoring the passing.

Winter’s Icy Path

icy path

Navigating winter’s slick and slippery icy path, blue jays squawk a screeching song and stay way clear in naked branches, cool air still in place, solid overcast aloft – heavy with a threatening cast. Greetings across the country to a B-Day boy, likely raining there!

Sweet Saturday

happy hay

Sweet contented nose in hay, sunshine warming countenance as gentle rays play among the softening snow, welcome temps begin the day relaxing eyelids and soothing the harsh exit of January.

Loosening the Icy Grip

stroll

Almost balmy today compared to the long stretch of icy fingered single digit mornings, fluffy coat softening to a velvety relaxed reddish brown contrasting with cooler tones of gray in the sky and on the ground, expecting birds to return with Springlike temps, poopcicles marring the view will be melting for removal around back, dogs delighted that paws aren’t paining from the now past grasping cold.

Still Wicked Cold

trot up

Still wicked cold, looking lovely with those deep blue skies, still wicked cold, sun shine abundant but – still wicked cold and the whispering wind reminding us it can be even still wicked colder!

Back in the Freezer

chase

Back in the freezer under partly cloudy skies, Rev feeling frisky fooling around, all this excitement flushing birds out of the crab apple tree, NW winds hustling, bustling winter’s business along, sun chasing shorter days away.
