The Weather Horse report 14 May 2013: heavy blanket of cloud cover providing protection from frost overnight – cardinal sweetly singing – too cool for black flies – light winds moving clouds aside for some occasional sun to warm up the day – hooves growing again indicating warmer times to come – coat mostly shedded out – Rev found a hawk feather to chew on – crab apple beginning to blossom as forsythia fades.
